Publication Ethics
Indonesian Tropical Geospatial is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and prevents publication errors. All authors must sign a statement declaring their work is original and not plagiarized. Submitted works are checked by plagiarism detection software. If plagiarism is found, the work will not be published, and the author will be prohibited from publishing in the journal.
Withdrawal/Correction/Retraction Policy
Indonesian Tropical Geospatial handles retractions and revisions through Addendum, Erratum, Corrections, Retractions (or Partial Retractions), and Comments.
- Addendum: Added to the original publication to include important results that were accidentally left out.
- Erratum: Published for scientifically significant formatting changes or corrections to authorship.
- Corrections: Submitted for scientifically significant errors that alter the scientific interpretation.
- Retractions: Issued for major errors or ethical violations, marked with a "RETRACTED" watermark but kept online for reference.
- Comments: Readers can submit comments questioning article results or methodology. Both comments and replies undergo review to ensure relevance and appropriateness.
Duties of Editors, Reviewers, and Authors
Editors are responsible for deciding which articles should be published, ensuring fairness, maintaining confidentiality, and avoiding conflicts of interest. Reviewers assist in editorial decisions by providing prompt, objective, and confidential reviews, identifying uncited relevant work, and avoiding conflicts of interest. Authors must present accurate research, ensure originality, avoid multiple submissions, properly acknowledge sources, limit authorship to significant contributors, disclose conflicts of interest, and correct significant errors in their published work.
