Peer Review Process
Indonesian Tropical Geospatial employs a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of the research we publish. The process is as follows:

1. Manuscript Submission:
Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. (Route 1)
2. Initial Check and Selection:
The Editor-in-Chief assigns the manuscript to a corresponding Editor or Managing Editor for further handling. The initial check includes verifying the manuscript’s suitability for the journal, adherence to submission guidelines, and a plagiarism check using Turnitin. (Route 2)
3. Peer Review Assignment:
The Editor or Managing Editor assigns at least two independent reviewers to evaluate the manuscript. (Route 3)
4. Peer Review Evaluation:
The journal uses a double-blind peer review process where the reviewers' identities remain anonymous to the authors, and vice versa. Reviewers assess the manuscript for its academic excellence, originality, methodology, and relevance. (Route 4)
5. Reviewers' Recommendations:
Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations, which may include one of the following decisions:
- Accept without any changes (acceptance)
- Accept with minor revisions (acceptance)
- Accept after major revisions (conditional acceptance)
- Revise and resubmit (conditional rejection)
- Decline or reject the paper (outright rejection)
6. Notification of Decision:
The Editor communicates the decision to the authors based on the reviewers' comments. Authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscript according to the feedback provided. (Route 5)
7. Manuscript Revision:
Authors submit the revised manuscript, which may undergo further review if substantial changes are made. This step may involve multiple rounds of review and revision.
8. Final Decision:
If the reviewers are satisfied with the revisions, the Editor makes a final decision on acceptance. (Route 6)
9. Galley Proof Preparation:
The final version of the manuscript is prepared for publication. Authors review and approve the galley proofs. (Route 7)
10. Publication:
The article is published online. (Route 8)
