Focus and Scope
Various thematic topics of our published work:
- Geospatial Technologies and Innovations: Research on the latest advancements in GIS, remote sensing, and other geospatial technologies. Topics include software development, new methodologies, and innovative applications in various fields such as agriculture, forestry, and urban planning.
- Climate Change and Environmental Impact: Studies on the impact of climate change on tropical regions, including effects on biodiversity, ecosystems, and weather patterns. This also covers mitigation and adaptation strategies using geospatial data.
- Sustainable Resource Management: Research on managing natural resources sustainably using geospatial technologies. This includes monitoring and managing forests, water resources, and agricultural lands to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Spatial Planning and Land Use: Studies on the application of geospatial technologies in spatial planning and land use management. Topics include urban development, rural planning, zoning, and land use planning analysis.
- Applications of Remote Sensing in Tropical Regions: Research on the use of remote sensing technologies to monitor and manage tropical environments. This includes the use of satellite imagery, UAVs (drones), and other remote sensing tools to gather data and inform decision-making.
Types of Papers:
- Research Article: Research articles that have not been previously published can be submitted as regular/original research articles. The word limit is 8,000 words (excluding Tables, Figures, and References).
- Review: Review articles/books provide an in-depth analysis of specific topics relevant to the journal’s scope, such as journal reviews, book reviews, or software reviews.
- Policy Brief: Short articles focusing on the latest policy trends and key insights. The desired length is 1,500 - 3,000 words. All submissions will undergo a peer review process.
- Notes from the Field: Articles that share unique experiences from case studies or critical questions related to the complexities of fieldwork. The recommended length is 1,500 - 6,000 words.
- Scientific Report: Scientific reports covering research findings or important discoveries relevant to the journal's focus.
- Methodology: Submissions that provide insights into innovative research methods across various disciplines. The recommended length is 1,500 - 3,000 words.
